Have you come here looking for monochrome conversions?

I now have a dedicated site to the process HERE

This site has been converted back to its original purpose of the end result of the image taking process. I hope you enjoy.

So, what is the difference between a photograph and an image? Picture, photograph and image are all terms that are nearly interchangeable. I grew up in the film era, so using a camera usually resulted in a photograph. If you took a picture with your camera, it either went to print–-a photograph--, or it stayed in limbo as a negative waiting to become a print.

Since digital has become the de facto way to capture light, and the ease at which it has become to manipulate that capture, the term image seems more appropriate. For me, the result from the capture is an image until I print it to paper.  Then it becomes tangible--a photograph, or a print. Everything on this site is an image in my mind. But most of what you see here is hanging on my walls, so those are photographs. Click the photo above to go directly to the Viêt Nam Image Galleries,

I hope that you will find some of the images here somewhat interesting. And if not, that’s okay. But if you do, go to my contact page and let me know what you think. If you really like an image that you see here, you can purchase a print. I would be happy to work with you on getting that sent out to you so that you can hang it on your wall. I use an EPSON Stylus Pro 7900, so I can print up to 24" wide. The colors that this printer can produce are amazing. Go to my contact page and drop me a line.

Photography is not a crime:  Not everyone likes to have their photograph taken
